Dogma is the opiate of the masses. It answers the unanswerable and provides structure in what is otherwise organized chaos. In contrast to dogma, Nemesis, examines observable truths. His work rebukes convention and fleshes out his fight with psychological authoritarianism. He expresses this through an alter-ego, Nemesis - an anti-hero who seeks retribution for the oppressed. Early experiences with autocratic figures gave rise to Nemesis. Given the inherent vulnerability we face during our adolescence, Nemesis drew vicarious strength from superheroes. Nemesis not only provided the strength of a god, but also offered an opportunity for redemption. His characters embody aspects of his rage through aggressive geometry and colors. Nemesis still uses the tools from his youth to convey on canvas what he used on the streets: spray paint, bombing markers and a ball point pen.
